What We Do

Simply put, we rescue dogs and puppies from high kill shelters. Our mission began in 2009, and ever since then we have rescued, rehabilitated, and adopted out over 4,000 neglected and/or abandoned dogs.

Our Story

White River Animal Rescue was launched in 2009 by Amy Knight.

WRAR rescues over 350 dogs from euthanasia every year!

Our Team

Amy Knight, WRAR’s founder, has been rescuing dogs for 12 years.

Michelle has been volunteering with the rescue for over five years. 

Heather is the Director of the witness protection program. She has been volunteering since 2008.

 

Volunteer Stories

Kathy specializes in fostering puppies between 2 and 6 months of age.

Amber helps foster parents keep up on preventative medications.

Apple has been assisting WRAR acquire dogs for about 9 month.
